Trip to Bruny Island

On Boxing day, we went to Bruny Island to have a jet cruise tour.

We woke up in the morning. We had breakfast, dressed ourselves and drove off in our rented car to Bruny Island, my friends Alfred and Ada were in the car we were in, Lisa and Justin was in another car.

When we were driving we used our walkie talkies to communicate with each other. We also played around with its settings and channels. Along the road we went to a petrol station for a refill.

When we were nearly there we drove onto a ferry to cross a river. It had a wonderful view. It took a pretty long time so we got out our iPad and started playing with it.

Once we were there we went straight to a restaurant to have lunch. After that we drove to a parking place and walked to the jet cruise. It rained when we were waiting and we really waited quite a while so we all got wet.

Once we were on the cruise we went at a terrific speed and had a lot of bumps. The two persons who were operating the cruise told jokes along with facts and gave out snacks. They told us about Eagle Rock and the Breathing Hole which was actually a cave underground. One of their jokes was, if you like the ups and downs it would be about twelve minutes to get to the Southern Ocean, if you don't like the ups and downs it would be about twelve minutes to get there. When we reached the Southern Ocean, we saw a lot of seals resting and practicing fighting. After that we started going back. The cruise went slower so we don't have as many ups and downs as before. After a while when we reached the dock, the tide was so low that the boat was actually touching the ground.

On the way back to the car we collected some shells from a nearby beach. We then went back to the car and drove to the ferry. When we were waiting we ate some snacks we bought. My friend found a shell there and some oysters. And then we drove back to our hotel.

I really enjoyed this kind of day trip and wish to have it again.

communications in a hundred years

What will we use in a hundred years?

We might have holograms, and crystals that generate energy from motion.

So let's start with holograms. Mobile phones let you have a conversation, don't they? What about making it a bit more real so you could have a hologram of a person right in front of you? That would be amazing, wouldn't it? So now we have Bluetooth in cars right? We could use it to make a hologram sitting right on the seat next to you!

Well, what if any portable communications can produce its own energy with motion with a crystal? We would have an unlimited supply of energy to keep our devices running well! We may also use it to power any other kind of energy based appliances.

If my predictions are right, I bet we'll have a wonderful future in a hundred years.
